Cristmas
So lets just say posting on my blog is not one of my strengths. Maybe I will post at least three times in 2010. This week I will be enjoying one of the many benefits of being a teacher. It is nice to have a week and a half off every now and then. This past weekend I enjoyed myself while I ate plenty of ham and cookies at 4 Christmas parties. This Christmas I retired playing pool against my 14 year cousin Daniel. In the past he was the only one that I could win against, but now that he can reach the table and hold his stick properly, he beats me every time. No more victory laps for me. At this past Thanksgiving he beat me in pool several times, so I convinced him to participate in a carrot eating contest......he beat me in that too. We then proceeded to think of other thing could beat him at. In hopes to boost my self confidants, my brother in law said, "well you will always beat him in the number of boys you have dated and in age." We then went to the scale and I beat him body fat percentage and weight! Something I wouldn't usually be proud of but I was getting desperate. It was nice to see everyone and catch up on everything.

2009 is the year of new beginnings. In December I graduated from the University of Stevens Point with an Elementary and Exceptional Education degree. However, I still had a month of student teaching after that to finish my degree. I just finished student teaching a week ago and then headed to Hudson to start my long term sub position in an Autism room at the Hudson Middle School. Who would have thought that I would be teaching in the same school that I attended over 8 years ago. I am not going to lie. It took awhile to get use to calling my former teachers by their first names. My first week of work went great! I am really excited about this teaching opportunity. My parents are really happy too. I think deep down inside they like having Jason and I living with them again. I wish everyone the best! Stay warm! It is cold out there!!!!!
